This Privacy Policy describes how "Gmail AI - Smart Email Writer & Reply" ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our Google Chrome extension (the "Extension").

We are deeply committed to protecting your privacy. Our Extension is designed under the "Zero-Email" and privacy-first philosophy.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

• We do NOT collect, store, or transmit your email address, name, or any personal identity.
• We do NOT collect, store, save, or log the content of your emails, conversation history, summaries, or drafted replies on our servers.
• We do NOT process or store any financial information, credit card numbers, or transaction details. All subscription payments are processed securely and externally by Ko-fi / Buy Me a Coffee.

2. Data Processing and Transmission

• In-Browser Processing: The Extension runs strictly locally in your browser. When you open an email in Gmail, our content script extracts the text of the active thread on your device.
• API Transmission: To generate email summaries and reply drafts, this text is transmitted securely via HTTPS directly to Google's Gemini API through the Firebase AI Logic secure gateway.
• No Model Training: Your email content is processed in real-time solely to generate the requested output and is not used by us or Google to train AI models.

3. Local Storage

All extension settings—including your custom signature, "Writing DNA" style-mimicking examples, "Contact Memory" preferences, and the daily free request counter—are saved strictly on your local device utilizing the secure chrome.storage.sync and chrome.storage.local APIs. We have no access to this data.

4. Anonymous Authentication

We utilize Firebase Anonymous Authentication to generate a secure, temporary, and completely anonymous User ID (UID) on your device. This ID is used strictly to enforce the daily limit of 10 free requests and is not linked to any real-world identity or email address.

5. Payment and Subscriptions

When you purchase a Pro subscription via Ko-fi / Buy Me a Coffee, a secure webhook writes your subscription expiration date to a read-only Cloud Firestore database linked to your anonymous UID. We do not store or process your email address or payment details in our database.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
